Football

Football is a C.Y.O. sport that is available to 4th through 8th graders.

The Head Football Coach is John Jarosz. Coach Jarosz will oversee coaching for the entire program, from 4th grade through 8th grade.

Practices will be at the field behind Blessed Trinity.

Practices begin in August, times and days to be announced. There will likely be some scrimmages on Saturdays during August, as well. So, if you plan to have your child play WPCA Football, please try to avoid scheduling family vacations after August 1!! Once school starts we will practice from Monday through Friday.

CYO Game times will be announced.

Football can be a demanding and physical sport. Be sure your child is prepared for this. Not all sports are for every child. Talk to your child about what to expect if he or she is interested in participating in this athletic program.

Requirements

ALL of these requirements must be fulfilled before your child can practice or play. Do not send your child to practice until all of the requirements are met.

Fees

There is a $80.00 membership fee per family, per school year.

This fee covers all sports offerings including intramual sports. Once this fee is paid, it does not need to be paid again until the following school year.

There is also a $35.00 participation fee per child for this sport.

This fee helps defray the costs of fees C.Y.O. charges us as well as uniforms, equipment, maintenance, safety supplies and adminstrative costs.

Medical Exam

All children must have an up-to-date medical exam (good for one year). Forms are available here or from your child's coach.

Equipment

We supply most of the equipment necessary for playing football.

Players are required to purchase a protective cup, athletic supporter, and a mouth guard. Football cleats are recommended.

Uniforms are supplied by the athletic association. At the end of the season, they should be washed according to instructions and returned to the coach.
