Auxiliary Services

Auxiliary Services are provided through the Cleveland Metropolitan School District in the following areas:

• Speech: The speech pathologist provides help to students who have difficulty with production of sounds and/or language structures. Students are screened for difficulties upon entering Kindergarten and from a teacher or parent referral.
• Psychologist: The school psychologist is available for academic problems and testing for special education classes. Some counseling is available.
• School Nurse: A school nurse is available two days a week.
• Learning Disabilities Program: This program is provided for students who qualify and have an active Service Plan in Language Arts, Reading and/or Math.
• Title I/Basic Skills Tutoring: Students are provided academic support in the basic skills of Reading and Math based on academic need.

Library

Students attend our school library once a week. Our library has over 15,000 books. Books and magazines are checked out each week and collected in homeroom. Fines will be assessed for late and lost books/magazines. Students will not be permitted to take books out until the fines have been paid and all overdue books have been returned. Fines not paid in June will be added to the family's tuition balance. Students are to be quiet in the library and follow the library rules.

Field Trips

Field trips will be scheduled by the teachers as an enrichment to the classroom learning. Parent/Guardian(s) must sign a permission/release form. Students will be transported by bus. Due to limited space on the bus, younger siblings may not attend field trips.

Computer Lab

The students will go to the lab during Computer Education classes as well as at other designated times allotted by the classroom teacher for various projects.
